The Bachelor of Commerce degree is a four-year study programme. It aims at preparing students for management careers in the private and public sector. It offers professional specialization in the following areas: Accounting; Marketing; Banking and Finance; Insurance and Risk Management; Cooperative Management; Human Resource Management, Enterprenureship, Procurement and Logistics Management and Management Science. In the first and second years of study, students take general commerce courses and are required to select one of the listed options for specialization in the third and fourth years’ of study respectively. All options lay emphasis on the functional areas of Management, and stress on problem solving, analytical & decision making skills and business analysis.

Have the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with mean grade C+ (C plus) from subject groupings specified by the Kenya National Examination Council or its equivalent, OR have Two (2) Principals and a subsidiary pass at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE)
Hold a Diploma in a business related field with at least a “Credit” or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the senate.
Meet additional or specific entry requirements as may be specified by the respective Department, Faculty, School, Institute, or professional regulatory bodies offering the Degree programme.
Admission may also be offered to holders of CPA Part II
The Bachelor of Commerce degree programme is a four academic years programme for full time students. Part time students may take up to eight academic years. Courses taken to fulfill graduation requirements are drawn from a cluster of University Common Core courses and from those specified by the Faculty and Department. To graduate, the Bachelor of Commerce candidates are required to take and pass at least 173 CFs of courses approved by the Senate. Full-time, Evening, Part-time, School-based, Weekend, ODEL. Full Time Students shall be required to complete at least 21 CFs each semester. The distribution of CFs for the whole programme shall be as follows:
Full Time Ksh – 68,500 per Semester
Online Learining (Odel) – Ksh – 54,500 per Semester
