IntroductionThe doctoral curriculum in Counselling Psychology builds on the theoretical and practical foundations established during the master‘s program training. The degree program focuses on development of advanced research, theoretical and practical knowledge and skills among graduates in counselling psychology. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for future careers in Counselling Psychology as researchers, educators, and practitioners across settings, including education institutions, clinical set ups, government agencies, social services, , community agencies, business , industry, and private practice.
By the end of the training, graduates should be able to:
Admission shall be offered to holders of Master‘s degree in psychology, counselling or counselling psychology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution by Tharaka University.
The programme shall take 3 years to complete for full-time students and 6 years to complete for part-time students. The modes of teaching shall be Full time, Part Time, ODEL and Face to Face.
Full Time Ksh-215,000/= per year
